The Rose House by Sergey Makhno Architects

Barbie loves roses. They hold a special place in her heart like orchids and often fill her decor. Although she loves red and appreciates yellow right now she has a bouquet of white roses brightening up in her room. She she can only think a Dreamhouse would be lovely as a Rose...

The Rose House by Sergey Makhno Architects

The Rose House is a guesthouse made of concrete, weathering steel, glass and water. The design is a clean modern silhouette which seems to be simple, but hosts a myriad of sophisticated elements. The name Rose was given because of the blooming red walls. The architect created an artificial pool bordering with a terrace on one side to water the concrete flowers. Overall the design of the layout is freely flowing space with functional areas that transform allowing the owner to move the walls and convert the space into an open social area.

Would you love the beauty of this Rose?
Barbie would and she hopes you would too!
Enjoy!

The Band-Aid House by Camille Lemmolo

Sometimes you can’t stick a band-aid on a wound to heal it. Often the best thing for some wounds is air to breathe & rest and to boost the immune system a lot of TLC and a little interaction with loved ones. Barbie has become a healer through much of her own wounds and loves to encourage others to find better alternatives to healing than just sticking a band-aid on a problem.  Here’s a Dreamhouse that speaks to the soul...

The Band-Aid House by Camille Lemmolo

The Band-Aid House is an art installation by Camille Lemmolo. The installation is a metaphorical safe place in which the viewer can reflect on the human condition with a deeper sense of grace and gratitude. The 10 ft tall house dedicated to her brother Paul is covered in 21,000 band-aids & scotch tape was envisioned out of a horse-riding accident that was nearly fatal for the artist.

The Band-Aid House was a part of the special curatorial projects at Art/Miami Dec. 2013.  This house reached thousands of viewers, establishing that humans are aching to reach out and connect with one another in a world where we often feel we should not.

The Even Yehuda House by The Heder Partnership

Barbie loves letting her favorite dolls and kens live their lives. She knows better than to make what they're doing about her and she truly hopes they do the same instead of reacting badly. As much as she enjoys chatting up her favorite Ken when he comes around she maintains her boundaries and space from his life as he does hers. It's rather disappointing when there's been a misunderstanding between you both but that's life and you let the past be the past and start off even or you'll never get anywhere. Busy people have busy lives and quite often you simply just don't see each other in the rush of it all and there's no hard feelings in being busy if you're on even ground. The best place for even things is in architecture.
