Barbie knows that sometimes life throws you curves and you have to maneuver through them. Sometimes they break you down a little and sometimes you start looking at the things you love as things you hate. The reality is that we don't hate them. It's just perspective. And curves with interesting perspective makes for great design. Here's a dream house that puts an S curve to great use.
Villa S2 by Marc Architects
This S-shaped villa overlooks the waterfront of an island in the Ijburg district in Amsterdam. The house is designed by Dutch studio MARC architects. The villa is both a reflection of modern and sustainable design.
The interiors contain folded the walls and floors around the spaces which create the home's ‘S’ shape. The home design is almost entirely energy neutral thanks to the architects design of three-layers glazing for all windows and open facades, high-standard insulation, solar panels, a heated-air re-usage system and white natural stone. All features help to boost the home's energy efficiency.
