I Reckon.
I
reckon they’re marvelous aren’t they? Yeah I figured you might agree. It’s a rare
thing to find anyone looking into a nursery of babes without finding the beauty
in it. I’ll tell you something babes are so innocent when they’re first brought
into this world. They don’t know much in the way of harm or foul. Well they can’t
even speak a word to harm another soul. So you must be a proud papa. You are
then. I can tell by that gleam of precious in your eye. Which one’s yours? Oh
he’s a looker. How big ya reckon? 6lbs, 7 ounces. Oh yes, that’s mighty fine.
Perfect in fact. All ten fingers and toes? Healthy? Then you are fine. Nothing to worry about. New parent… beg your
pardon for presuming but this is your first isn’t it? I thought so. You look
more done up than a cat stuck in a moving car. You’re scared? A little frightening,
I reckon to some. Being in charge of another living person. Ah, but there’s
nothing like it. Once you find the hang of it, you’ll find that there’s so much
comfort in knowing that you'll take care of this bundle of joy. Yes, sir I do know
a thing or two about kids. Myself? As a matter of fact, I do have a few. Two
daughters and a son. They’ll all be in their thirties next week. My son's the
last of the bunch to hit that milestone. And that fine specimen of babe in the
corner, that’s my granddaughter. She’s the second from my eldest. Why thank
you, she is quite lovely. Here’s a little advice for you… First take all the wisdom
you can get from others, and second enjoy every minute of that precious gift of
life.
300. I Reckon. There is beauty in everything.
You have to find it and focus on it. A little less darkness and a lot more
light. Ying. Yang. Breaking the fixation with darkness and changing gears. There’s
nothing like breaking out and seeing the daylight or nighttime. Highly recommend
that for anyone and everyone. Enjoy. kisses. m.
