Style Icon: Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright. One of the 20th century's most significant architects. I've always loved his work even long before I wanted to design. I've collected books on his architecture for years. For me its an expression rather than a structure. His work holds so much beauty no matter how you see it. It's been a long time fantasy of mine to actually be able to see and explore one of the homes. Someday! Two of my favorites are the Ennis House and Falling Water. Ennis House is always in movies or music videos. People mostly recognize Falling Water since it is a very unique structure that rests upon a waterfall. Wright's mission was to preserve the environment around the structures and allow them to inhabit the same space without desecrating the beauty of the existing landscape. It's a powerful message. I think that's one of the reason why I've always loved his work.
